1. Oversee the stocking and organization of the grocery department to ensure shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing at all times.
2. Lead and manage a team of grocery stockers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
3. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management to ensure appropriate ordering and restocking of products.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including backroom and storage areas, in accordance with company standards.
5. Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards for freshness, quality, and expiration dates.
6. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and merchandising, to ensure effective communication and coordination of stocking efforts.
7. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity of grocery stocking operations.
8. Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming products and promotions, and ensure they are properly stocked and displayed.
9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to grocery stocking, and provide prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
11. Monitor and control inventory shrinkage, and implement measures to minimize losses.
12. Prepare and submit regular reports on stocking activities and department performance to management.
13. Act as a role model for employees, promoting a positive and customer-focused attitude.
14. Stay updated on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the grocery department and the store.
