  1. Create visually appealing and delicious cakes to be displayed and sold in the bakery department of Whole Foods Market.
  2. Utilize artistic skills and creativity to design and decorate cakes according to customers' requests and special occasions.
  3. Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all baked goods, paying close attention to detail and ensuring all products meet company standards.
  4. Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide professional and friendly customer service.
  5. Collaborate with other bakery team members to ensure timely production and delivery of cakes.
  6. Keep inventory of supplies and ingredients needed for cake decorating and inform management of any shortages or needs.
  7. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times.
  8. Stay up-to-date with current trends and techniques in cake decorating to continuously improve skills and offer new and innovative designs.
  9. Assist in training and mentoring new bakery team members in cake decorating techniques and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience With Cake Decorating Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cake Decorating, With A Strong Understanding Of Various Techniques Such As Piping, Fondant Work, And Sugar Craft.

  • Creativity And Attention To Detail: A Bakery Cake Decorator At Whole Foods Market Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Create Visually Appealing And Unique Designs For Cakes. They Should Also Be Able To Work With A Variety Of Themes And Customize Cakes According To Customer Preferences.
