1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Men’s Lacrosse Club, including practice schedules, game strategies, and team goals.
2. Lead and supervise all team practices, games, and other club activities.
3. Recruit and retain skilled and dedicated players to ensure a competitive team.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
5. Provide guidance and mentorship to players, both on and off the field, to support their academic and personal development.
6. Communicate effectively with players, club officers, and the college administration to ensure the success and sustainability of the club.
7. Manage the club’s budget, equipment, and travel arrangements for games and tournaments.
8. Attend all club meetings and work closely with club officers to ensure the smooth operation of the club.
9. Stay updated on current lacrosse trends, techniques, and rules to continuously improve coaching strategies.
10. Represent the Men’s Lacrosse Club and Whittier College in a professional and positive manner at all times.
11. Uphold the values and mission of Whittier College, including a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.
12. Maintain all necessary certifications and qualifications required by the college and governing bodies for coaching.
13. Collaborate with other coaches and teams within the college to promote a strong athletic community.
14. Evaluate and provide feedback to players on their performance to help them reach their full potential.
15. Encourage and support players to participate in community service and other extracurricular activities.
16. Ensure the safety and well-being of all players at all times.
