You will work closely with faculty, staff, and community partners to develop and implement programs that integrate experiential learning into our curriculum and provide meaningful opportunities for students to engage with diverse communities.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in community engagement, experiential learning, and higher education. - Develop and implement programs that promote civic engagement and experiential learning for students.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to integrate experiential learning into the curriculum.
- Foster a culture of civic responsibility among students and empower them to make a positive impact in the world.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to students, guiding them in their personal and professional development.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with community organizations to create meaningful opportunities for student engagement.
- Stay up-to-date on social issues and community needs to inform program development and implementation.
- Develop and manage budgets for civic engagement and experiential learning programs.
- Oversee and coordinate logistics for experiential learning opportunities, such as service-learning projects and internships.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote and support civic engagement and experiential learning initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness and impact of civic engagement and experiential learning programs.
- Serve as a representative for the college in community engagement initiatives and events.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in civic engagement and experiential learning in higher education.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with alumni to provide networking and mentorship opportunities for students.
- Lead and manage a team of staff and student leaders to support civic engagement and experiential learning efforts.
- Represent the college in meetings and conferences related to civic engagement and experiential learning.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Community Development, Political Science, Or Education.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Higher Education Setting, Specifically In The Areas Of Civic Engagement And Experiential Learning.
Strong Understanding Of Community Engagement Principles And Best Practices, As Well As Experience Working With Diverse Populations.
Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Project Management Skills, With A Proven Ability To Collaborate With Multiple Stakeholders.
Demonstrated Commitment To Social Justice, Community Service, And Experiential Learning, And A Clear Vision For How These Values Can Be Integrated Into The College's Curriculum And Campus Culture.
