- Conduct assessments to determine the communication needs of students at Western Washington University.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders.
- Provide therapy and intervention services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and counselors, to address the overall needs of students.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and recommendations for home-based activities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job duties.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students, promoting their well-being and academic success.
- Serve as a resource and provide support to faculty and staff on issues related to speech and language disorders.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Western Washington University through active participation in departmental and university activities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve services and programs offered by the speech-language pathology department.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of students, families, and colleagues.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).
State Licensure As A Speech-Language Pathologist.
At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience Working With Individuals Across The Lifespan, Preferably In A University Setting.
Proficiency In Administering And Interpreting Standardized Assessments, As Well As Developing And Implementing Individualized Treatment Plans.
