  1. Conduct assessments to determine the communication needs of students at Western Washington University.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders.
  3. Provide therapy and intervention services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  4. Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and counselors, to address the overall needs of students.
  5. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  6. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and recommendations for home-based activities.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology.
  8. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  10. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job duties.
  11. Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students, promoting their well-being and academic success.
  12. Serve as a resource and provide support to faculty and staff on issues related to speech and language disorders.
  13. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Western Washington University through active participation in departmental and university activities.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve services and programs offered by the speech-language pathology department.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of students, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • State Licensure As A Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience Working With Individuals Across The Lifespan, Preferably In A University Setting.

  • Proficiency In Administering And Interpreting Standardized Assessments, As Well As Developing And Implementing Individualized Treatment Plans.
