Job Description

Western Washington University is looking for a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide mental health counseling services to students in need. You will assess, diagnose, and treat mental health issues and work with students to develop effective strategies for them to manage their mental health. As a Mental Health Counselor, you must possess effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in order to provide high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, an understanding of the unique needs of college-age students, and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.To be successful in this role, you must have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology or a related field, as well as a current license to practice in Washington State. Additionally, you should have at least two years of experience in a mental health setting, and experience working with college-age students is preferred.
