- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, with a focus on promoting mental health and wellness.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans for students seeking counseling services.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and campus resources to provide comprehensive care to students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress notes.
- Stay up-to-date on current mental health research and techniques to provide evidence-based therapy.
- Create and facilitate workshops, presentations, and programming on mental health and wellness topics.
- Serve as a liaison between the counseling center and other departments on campus to promote mental health services and resources.
- Advocate for the mental health and wellness needs of students and work towards creating a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
- Provide crisis intervention and management services as needed.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards for mental health counseling.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with community mental health providers and resources to ensure students receive appropriate care.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards students, colleagues, and the campus community.
- Uphold the mission and values of Western Washington University and the counseling center.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies and procedures.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of Two Years Of Clinical Experience In A Mental Health Setting.
Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure As A Mental Health Counselor In The State Of Washington.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions.
