Job Description

Western Washington University (WWU) is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Environmental Health and Safety to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program to ensure a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in EHS management. The candidate should also have a working knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards, and have excellent organizational and communication skills.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about health and safety and is committed to making WWU a safe, secure, and sustainable campus. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service, collaboration, and working with all levels of the university community.
