
Cyber Range Research Associate
Western Washington University is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Cyber Range Research Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cyber security and be passionate about learning more about the field. This person will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the University's cyber range research capabilities. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as several years of experience in computer network security. Additionally, the candidate must have strong technical programming and scripting skills, with experience in developing automated tools and processes. Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies, as well as knowledge of security concepts such as network security, identity and access management, and vulnerability management is highly desirable. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The successful candidate will be able to analyze and interpret cyber security concepts and data and translate them into usable tools and processes.
