  1. Develop and implement strategies to promote accessibility and inclusion on campus.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for individuals with disabilities and their communication access needs.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication access for all individuals with disabilities.
  4. Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for accommodations and assistive technology.
  5. Stay current on accessibility laws and guidelines to ensure compliance and provide guidance to the university community.
  6. Train and educate university staff and faculty on disability awareness and effective communication strategies.
  7. Manage and maintain records of accommodation requests and communication access services provided.
  8. Advocate for the needs of individuals with disabilities and work towards creating an inclusive environment on campus.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current accommodation policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Represent the university at events and conferences related to disability and accessibility.
  11. Collaborate with other universities and organizations to share best practices and stay informed on current trends in disability support services.
  12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions with individuals with disabilities.
  13. Handle any issues or concerns related to communication access in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development in the field of disability support services and accessibility.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communication, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Event Planning, Project Management, Or A Similar Role.

  • Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Groups.

  • Knowledge Of Ada Guidelines And Accommodations For Individuals With Disabilities.

  • Experience Working In A Higher Education Setting, Preferably In A Communication Access Or Disability Services Role.
