
Communication Access Manager

- Develop and implement strategies to promote accessibility and inclusion on campus.
- Serve as the main point of contact for individuals with disabilities and their communication access needs.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication access for all individuals with disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for accommodations and assistive technology.
- Stay current on accessibility laws and guidelines to ensure compliance and provide guidance to the university community.
- Train and educate university staff and faculty on disability awareness and effective communication strategies.
- Manage and maintain records of accommodation requests and communication access services provided.
- Advocate for the needs of individuals with disabilities and work towards creating an inclusive environment on campus.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current accommodation policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
- Represent the university at events and conferences related to disability and accessibility.
- Collaborate with other universities and organizations to share best practices and stay informed on current trends in disability support services.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions with individuals with disabilities.
- Handle any issues or concerns related to communication access in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development in the field of disability support services and accessibility.
Bachelor's Degree In Communication, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Event Planning, Project Management, Or A Similar Role.
Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Groups.
Knowledge Of Ada Guidelines And Accommodations For Individuals With Disabilities.
Experience Working In A Higher Education Setting, Preferably In A Communication Access Or Disability Services Role.
