Job Description

We at Western Washington University are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate, organized and dependable individual who is committed to providing the highest quality of care and support to our students. The Care Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing programs and services that promote the well-being and success of our students. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field and at least five years of experience in a related field. They should have a strong understanding of student development, mental health, crisis management, and student retention. This individual should also have excellent communication and organizational skills and be comfortable working with diverse student populations. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, online student services, and databases is preferred.
