Job Description

As a Lead Analyst in Global Regulatory Compliance at Western Union, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company's compliance with global regulatory requirements. With your expertise and leadership, you will oversee and guide the compliance efforts across our global operations, ensuring that we are meeting all necessary regulations and standards.   1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of global regulatory requirements and changes, and ensure that Western Union is in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  2. Lead and manage the compliance team, setting goals and expectations, providing guidance and direction, and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into business processes and systems.
  5. Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and changes, and communicate updates and potential impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  7. Conduct compliance audits and investigations as needed, and work with internal and external stakeholders to address any identified issues.
  8. Communicate with regulators and external auditors as necessary, and represent the company during regulatory exams and audits.
  9. Proactively identify areas for process improvements and develop and implement strategies to enhance compliance efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in regulatory compliance, and share knowledge and insights with the team and stakeholders.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert on global regulatory compliance matters, providing guidance and support to the organization as needed.
  12. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting key areas of concern and recommended actions.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and records.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the compliance team and cross-functionally.
  15. Continuously evaluate and enhance the company's compliance program to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date with changing regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Global Regulatory Compliance: A Lead Analyst In Global Regulatory Compliance At Western Union Should Possess Thorough Understanding Of Laws, Regulations, And Standards Pertaining To Financial Services, Money Transfer, And Anti-Money Laundering. They Should Have The Ability To Interpret And Apply These Regulations In Various Countries And Regions.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Highly Analytical And Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Skills. They Should Have The Ability To Identify And Analyze Complex Compliance Issues And Develop Effective Solutions To Ensure The Company's Compliance With Regulatory Requirements.

  • Experience In Compliance Risk Management: A Lead Analyst Should Have Experience In Compliance Risk Management, Including Conducting Risk Assessments, Developing Risk Management Strategies, And Implementing Risk Controls. They Should Also Have Experience In Performing Compliance Audits And Monitoring Compliance Activities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Lead Analyst, One Will Be Required To Communicate Complex Regulatory Concepts And Requirements To Various Stakeholders Within The Organization. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Relevant Education And Certifications: A Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Business, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Position. Additionally, Possessing Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (Crcm) Or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (Cams) Would Be Highly Beneficial.
