
Group Leader, Global Sanction and Interdiction
We are looking for an experienced Global Sanction and Interdiction Group Leader to join our team at Western Union. The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic leader with the ability to implement strategies to ensure compliance with sanctions and interdiction regulations.The Group Leader will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as sound judgment and the ability to think critically. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the global financial system and current sanctions and interdiction regulations, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a leadership role in the financial services industry• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and the ability to multi-task• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner• A thorough understanding of global sanctions and interdiction regulations, and the ability to interpret and apply them appropriately• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related applicationsIf you are a self-starter with a passion for compliance and the ability to successfully lead a team, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities: • Lead the Global Sanction and Interdiction Group in developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with sanctions and interdiction regulations • Manage a team of professionals to ensure the completion of complex projects, tasks, and initiatives in a timely manner • Maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders • Interpret and apply global sanctions and interdiction regulations appropriately • Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance on compliance • Communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner • Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance • Develop and execute training programs to ensure team members are up-to-date on changes in regulations • Provide reports to upper management on the progress of projects and initiatives • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to track team performance
