
Faculty (Part Time) - Psychological Sciences

- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and interactive lectures and seminars to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of psychological sciences
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments, in accordance with departmental standards
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their learning
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives
- Stay current with developments in the field of psychology and incorporate relevant and up-to-date content into teaching materials
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, offering guidance on academic and career planning
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and events to contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the program
- Collaborate with other faculty members and academic staff to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities and research projects
- Engage in scholarly activities, such as conducting research, publishing papers, and presenting at conferences, to contribute to the growth and reputation of the department and university
- Maintain regular communication with students and colleagues, responding promptly to emails and inquiries and being available for office hours and other forms of student support.
Advanced Degree In Psychology: Applicants Must Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Psychology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution. A Doctoral Degree Is Preferred.
Teaching Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Teaching At The University Level, Preferably In The Field Of Psychology. This May Include Teaching Assistantships, Adjunct Positions, Or Full-Time Faculty Roles.
Expertise In A Subfield Of Psychology: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Strong Background In One Or More Subfields Of Psychology, Such As Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Or Clinical Psychology. This Expertise Should Be Reflected In Their Academic Credentials And Teaching Experience.
Research Experience: While This Is A Part-Time Position, Applicants Should Still Have A Demonstrated Record Of Research Experience In Psychology. This May Include Publications, Conference Presentations, Or Grants.
Commitment To Student Success: The Successful Candidate Will Have A Strong Commitment To Student Success And Be Able To Engage And Motivate Students In The Classroom. Previous Experience Mentoring And Advising Students Is Highly Desirable.
