Western Kentucky University is seeking a part-time faculty member to join our team in the Organizational Leadership program. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of future leaders and contribute to the growth and success of our program. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in organizational leadership, a commitment to student success, and a passion for teaching.   1. Develop and teach courses in organizational leadership, utilizing current and innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  2. Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments, that align with program objectives and academic standards.
  3. Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support for their academic and career goals.
  4. Stay current with industry trends and research in organizational leadership, and incorporate relevant and up-to-date information into course curriculum.
  5. Participate in program development and assessment, working collaboratively with other faculty members to enhance the program and ensure its effectiveness.
  6. Engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publication, to contribute to the academic community and enhance personal and professional development.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity and cultural competence in the classroom.
  8. Utilize technology and other resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  9. Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental and university committees as needed.
  10. Serve as a resource for students, colleagues, and the community in matters related to organizational leadership.
  11. Comply with university policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity and student confidentiality.
  12. Maintain regular office hours and be available to meet with students outside of class as needed.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course materials to ensure student success.
  14. Represent the university and the Organizational Leadership program positively and professionally at all times.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the department chair or program director.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Organizational Leadership Or A Related Field, Such As Business Administration Or Human Resources.

  • Extensive Experience In A Leadership Role Within An Organization, Preferably In A Corporate Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Engage Students From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Innovative Strategies For Organizational Development And Leadership.

  • Familiarity With Current Trends And Theories In Organizational Leadership, As Well As The Ability To Apply Them To Real-World Scenarios And Case Studies.
