
Faculty (Part Time) - Agriculture

- Teach and instruct students in various agricultural topics, including but not limited to farming techniques, animal husbandry, and crop management.
- Develop and deliver engaging and relevant lesson plans and class materials.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and career goals, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of agriculture to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the agricultural program at Western Kentucky University.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and assignments.
- Participate in student advising and assist with course selection and registration.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
- Serve as a role model for students and uphold the values and mission of Western Kentucky University.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge in the field of agriculture.

Relevant Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Agriculture Or A Related Field, And At Least 2-3 Years Of Teaching Experience At The College Level.
Knowledge Of Current Industry Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge Of Current Practices And Trends In The Field Of Agriculture, Including Hands-On Experience In A Variety Of Agricultural Settings.
Effective Communication And Teaching Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts And Engage Students In The Learning Process Is Essential For Success In This Role. Previous Experience In Teaching Or Public Speaking Is Preferred.
Commitment To Student Success: A Strong Commitment To Helping Students Achieve Their Academic And Career Goals Is A Key Qualification For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Dedicated To Providing A Supportive And Engaging Learning Environment For Students.
