Welcome to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Youth Summer Program Internship! We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team this summer.   1. Assist in the planning and execution of the Youth Summer Program activities and events.
  2. Provide emotional support and guidance to young patients during their stay at the hospital.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of the young patients.
  4. Participate in educational sessions and workshops to learn about the healthcare industry and its various roles.
  5. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
  6. Contribute to the development of creative and engaging activities for the young patients.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and hospital staff.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of program activities and patient interactions.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality.
  10. Attend team meetings and provide input and suggestions for improving the program.
  11. Act as a role model for the young patients by demonstrating positive behavior and attitudes.
  12. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, organizing supplies, and keeping inventory.
  13. Ensure a safe and clean environment for the young patients at all times.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.
  15. Embrace diversity and promote inclusivity within the program and hospital.
  16. Represent Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in a professional and positive manner to the community.
  17. Uphold the hospital's mission and values in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
  18. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the program and patients.
  19. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of all individuals in the hospital.
  20. Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the program coordinator or hospital staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of At Least Two Years Of College Coursework In A Relevant Field, Such As Education, Psychology, Or Social Work.

  • Experience Working With Children And/Or Adolescents In A Professional Or Volunteer Capacity.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Connect With Youth From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Knowledge Of Youth Development Principles And Best Practices For Engaging And Supporting Young People.

  • Availability To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Some Evenings And Weekends, To Accommodate The Needs Of The Summer Program.
