- Assist in the planning and coordination of the Workforce Development Summer College Intern Program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with college students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.
- Screen and select qualified candidates for the internship program.
- Create and implement training and development activities for interns.
- Assign interns to specific departments and provide guidance and support throughout the program.
- Monitor and evaluate intern performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Facilitate networking opportunities for interns within the organization.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure interns are assigned meaningful and challenging projects.
- Ensure interns are following hospital policies and procedures and maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Organize and facilitate presentations and workshops to educate interns on various aspects of the healthcare industry.
- Conduct exit interviews with interns and provide recommendations for their future career development.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on intern progress and program outcomes.
- Represent the hospital and the internship program at recruitment events and career fairs.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the internship program.
- Uphold the values and mission of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in all interactions with interns and staff members.
Currently Enrolled In A College Or University Pursuing A Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field, Such As Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Public Health.
Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Hospital Staff And Patients.
Demonstrated Interest In Workforce Development And A Desire To Gain Experience In A Hospital Setting.
Availability To Work Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) During The Summer Months.
Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As Volunteering Or Part-Time Employment, Is Preferred.
