- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of the internal medicine practice.
- Build and maintain relationships with patients, providing compassionate and personalized care.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in internal medicine.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the primary care team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, both acute and chronic.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
- Prescribe and monitor medications, making appropriate adjustments as necessary.
- Educate and counsel patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of chronic conditions.
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth and success of the internal medicine practice.
- Maintain appropriate licensure and certifications, and fulfill all continuing education requirements.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of the hospital and the internal medicine practice to patients, colleagues, and the community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient satisfaction and actively seek feedback to continuously improve the patient experience.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other activities to enhance communication and collaboration within the practice.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in patient care and interactions with colleagues.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Board Certification In Internal Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Internal Medicine By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or Equivalent.
Extensive Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Primary Care Internal Medicine Is Required For This Position.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Colleagues Is Essential For Providing High-Quality Care And Building Strong Relationships.
