  1. Perform ultrasound exams accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety at all times.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology to properly position patients for optimal imaging.
  3. Operate ultrasound equipment and perform necessary adjustments to obtain high-quality images.
  4. Ensure proper patient identification and explain procedures to patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
  5. Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper and timely communication of exam results.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and maintain knowledge of current best practices in the field.
  9. Participate in quality control and assurance activities to maintain accreditation and quality standards.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor at all times.
  11. Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
  13. Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  14. Attend continuing education and training programs to maintain licensure and advance professional development.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • Graduate Of An Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program: Candidates For The Ultrasound Technologist I Position Should Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Ultrasound Technology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Ardms Certification: The Successful Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms).

  • State Licensure: The Ultrasound Technologist I Should Possess A Valid State License To Practice Ultrasound Technology In The State In Which The Hospital Is Located.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As An Ultrasound Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Ultrasound Equipment And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Ultrasound Equipment, Techniques, And Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Maintain Equipment.
