As a Transporter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout our hospital. 1. Safely and efficiently transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital, including to and from procedures, tests, and appointments.
2. Assist patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disinfecting equipment and reporting any maintenance or cleanliness issues.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a professional and compassionate manner.
5. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
6. Prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
7. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure timely and accurate patient transport.
8. Respond to emergency situations and assist medical staff as needed.
9. Document patient transport and any relevant information accurately and promptly.
10. Attend training and education sessions to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to patient transport and care.
11. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and exceptional patient care.
12. Report any concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
