We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our surgical and medical procedures by sterilizing and preparing all instruments and equipment.   1. Sterilize and prepare all instruments and equipment used in surgical and medical procedures, following strict protocols and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment and supplies for procedures.
  4. Operate and maintain all sterilization equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and handling of instruments and supplies.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure a constant supply of sterile equipment and instruments.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent any potential risks or hazards.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on the latest techniques, regulations, and best practices in sterile processing.
  10. Display a positive and professional attitude towards patients, visitors, and colleagues, and adhere to the hospital's mission of providing exceptional care and service to the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician: The Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm). This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Previous Experience: A Sterile Processing Technician Ii Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role. This Experience Should Include Working With Complex Medical Equipment, Sterilization Techniques, And Following Strict Infection Control Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Sterilization Techniques, Such As Steam, Ethylene Oxide, And Hydrogen Peroxide Plasma. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Different Types Of Medical Instruments And Equipment And Their Specific Sterilization Requirements.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Sterile Processing Technician Ii Requires Meticulous Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Medical Equipment And Instruments Are Properly Cleaned, Decontaminated, And Sterilized. Any Errors Or Oversights Can Have Serious Consequences For Patient Safety.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: As A Sterile Processing Technician Ii, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team, Including Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Technicians. It Is Essential To Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Ensure That All Equipment Is Ready And Available For Procedures, And To Maintain A Sterile And Safe Environment For Patients.
