  1. Provide compassionate care to patients in the stepdown medicine unit, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, lab results, and other indicators to identify any changes in condition and take appropriate action.
  3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and document all interventions accurately.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on patients' progress and address any concerns.
  6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  7. Serve as a resource and mentor to new team members, providing guidance and support in their role as stepdown medicine nurses.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in nursing practices and technology.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to patient satisfaction and actively seek out ways to improve the patient experience.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure compliance and patient safety.

  14. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
  15. Attend team meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the overall success of the unit and hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of New Hampshire.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Stepdown Or Intermediate Care Unit.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications Required; Pals And/Or Ccrn Certification Preferred.

  • Strong Clinical Assessment And Critical Thinking Skills.

  • Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
