  1. Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverage for all departments and shifts, taking into account staffing requirements, employee availability, and hospital needs.
  2. Communicate with department managers and staff to gather availability and schedule preferences and make necessary adjustments to the schedule.
  3. Monitor and track employee attendance and time-off requests to ensure accurate scheduling and proper utilization of staff.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and managers to identify staffing needs and address any scheduling conflicts or concerns.
  5. Proactively anticipate and address any potential staffing shortages or issues to maintain smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and schedules in the hospital's scheduling system.
  7. Provide support to managers and staff regarding scheduling policies and procedures.
  8. Monitor and analyze staffing data to identify trends and make recommendations for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  9. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including scheduling orientation and training sessions.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling employee information and schedules.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve staffing processes and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to staffing and scheduling in healthcare settings.
  13. Act as a liaison between staff and management to ensure effective communication and address any concerns or issues related to scheduling.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while promoting a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
  15. Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and projects as needed to support the overall mission and goals of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Staffing Or Scheduling In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Labor Laws And Regulations Related To Staffing And Scheduling.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Priorities.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With All Levels Of Hospital Staff And External Stakeholders.
