Social Worker

Demonstrates competency in providing clinical social worker services to inpatients, outpatients, family, staff and community members. Conducts patient and family counseling to enhance their ability to cope effectively. Ability to provide education/support to community groups and/or staff. Initiates advance care planning with patient and family. Able to provide day-to-day supervision for social work interns doing field placements. Able to provide assessment and referral for DCYF and BEAS. Able to provide assessment and referral for cases of domestic violence. Able to provide counseling/support to birth mothers in adoption cases. Ability to establish a plan of care for patients in the outpatient setting. Demonstrates the ability to communicate with persons from other cultural groups.
