Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program: A Rn Working In The Emergency Department At Mgh Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing To Ensure They Have A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Massachusetts: All Candidates Must Hold An Active Rn License In The State Of Massachusetts To Be Eligible For Employment At Mgh.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Emergency Nursing: Mgh Is Looking For Candidates Who Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Rn In An Emergency Department Setting. This Experience Will Ensure The Candidate Is Familiar With The Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment Of The Emergency Department.
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Mgh Requires All Rns To Hold Current Bls And Acls Certifications. These Certifications Are Essential For Providing Emergency Care To Patients In Critical Conditions.
Ability To Work Night Shifts And Weekends: As An Emergency Department Rn At Mgh, The Candidate Must Be Willing And Able To Work Night Shifts And Weekends As The Emergency Department Operates 24/7. This Requires A Flexible Schedule And The Ability To Adapt To Changing Work Hours.
