  1. Provide high-quality and evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Assess and monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being, and document all relevant information accurately and timely.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and maintain accurate medication records.
  5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and after-care instructions.
  6. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met.
  7. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and respond to changes in patient condition, and communicate with physicians as needed.
  8. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, treatments, and medications.
  11. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Remain updated on current healthcare trends and advancements, incorporating them into daily nursing practice.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practice, seeking opportunities for growth and development.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Rn At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Is Required To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Provides A Solid Foundation In Nursing Principles And Allows For A More Comprehensive Understanding Of Patient Care.

  • Valid Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Rn License In The State Of New Hampshire. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse And Is Up-To-Date With The Latest Nursing Regulations.

  • Clinical Experience: While New Graduates Are Welcomed, The Ideal Candidate For This Position Would Have Some Prior Clinical Experience. This Could Include Internships, Externships, Or Previous Work Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques, Such As Cpr, And Is Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Rn, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Providing Quality Patient Care. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members, And Be Able To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
