
Rehab Department Coordinator

- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the rehab department, including patient care, staff scheduling, and department operations.
- Ensure that all patients receive high-quality, individualized care that meets their specific needs and helps them regain strength and mobility.
- Lead and manage a team of rehab professionals, including therapists, assistants, and support staff, to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the rehab department and with other departments within the hospital.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the rehab department and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Manage and maintain the department budget, including ordering supplies and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in rehab therapy to ensure the department is providing the most effective and innovative treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and professional development.
- Act as a liaison between the rehab department and hospital administration, providing regular updates and reports on department activities and performance.
- Serve as a role model for staff, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring new staff members to maintain a high level of expertise within the department.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation according to hospital and regulatory standards.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A Rehabilitation Setting, Preferably In A Leadership Or Management Role
Strong Knowledge Of Medicare And Insurance Regulations Related To Rehabilitation Services
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Team Members, Patients, And Families
Proficient In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data For Quality Improvement Initiatives
