- Provide high-quality and individualized care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) following surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their physical and emotional well-being during the recovery process.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and management of potential complications.
- Ensure the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Stay updated with current nursing practices, procedures, and standards of care.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism towards patients and their families.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall enhancement of patient care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their recovery.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a role model to other staff members and promote a positive work culture.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist in the discharge planning process for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the PACU.
Bls And Acls Certification.
Active Rn License In The State Of New Hampshire.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working In The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu).
Knowledge Of Post-Operative Care And Pain Management Protocols.
