As the Professional Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our staff is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to our patients.   1. Design and implement a comprehensive professional development program for staff at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
  2. Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and develop appropriate learning solutions.
  3. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of staff skills and knowledge to identify areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and educational materials.
  5. Utilize a variety of training methods, such as classroom instruction, e-learning, and hands-on exercises to facilitate learning.
  6. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in the healthcare industry and incorporate them into the professional development program.
  7. Monitor and track staff progress and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  8. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among staff.
  9. Collaborate with HR and leadership team to develop career pathways and succession planning for employees.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers and educational institutions.
  11. Manage the budget for professional development initiatives and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  12. Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to staff training and ensure that all training programs are in compliance.
  13. Serve as a mentor and resource for staff seeking career development opportunities.
  14. Create and maintain reports on the effectiveness and impact of the professional development program.
  15. Represent the hospital at professional development conferences and events.
  16. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of professional development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Care Continuum Models And Experience In Developing And Implementing Professional Development Programs.

  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Industry Standards For Professional Development In Healthcare, Such As Joint Commission And Cms Guidelines.
