As a Physicist Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physics principles and have excellent problem-solving skills.   1. Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to assist in the delivery of radiation therapy treatments to patients.
  2. Ensure the safe and accurate use of radiation therapy equipment, following established protocols and safety regulations.
  3. Monitor and maintain the quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment, including daily checks and calibrations.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with radiation therapy equipment, escalating to senior staff as needed.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of new radiation therapy techniques and protocols.
  6. Educate and train new staff on the proper use and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
  7. Keep accurate records of treatment plans and patient data, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in medical technology and physics principles, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to radiation therapy.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and their families, providing them with support and reassurance during treatments.
