1. Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medication to patients according to established procedures and protocols.
2. Maintain accurate records of medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
3. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
4. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients to provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.
5. Prepare and label medications accurately and efficiently, including IV admixtures and unit dose packaging.
6. Monitor medication storage and expiration dates, ensuring safe and effective use of all medications.
7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of current pharmacy practices and procedures.
10. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent medication errors and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
11. Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of automated medication dispensing systems.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or supervising pharmacist.
