  1. Conduct thorough and accurate dental hygiene assessments on patients.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  3. Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
  4. Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as needed.
  5. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care.
  6. Identify and document any abnormalities or areas of concern in patients' oral health.
  7. Assist dentists in various procedures, such as fillings and extractions.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and stocked.
  9. Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  11. Stay current with industry developments, technology, and best practices in dental hygiene.
  12. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  13. Handle patient scheduling and maintain a timely and efficient workflow.
  14. Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  15. Uphold hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  16. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  17. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  18. Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on patient care and practice improvement.

  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the dental director or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Dental Hygiene License: The Applicant Must Hold A Valid And Active License As A Dental Hygienist In The State Of New Hampshire.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Dental Hygienist In A Clinical Setting.

  • Cpr Certification: A Current Cpr Certification Is Required For All Healthcare Professionals, Including Dental Hygienists, To Ensure The Safety Of Patients.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Per-Diem Dental Hygienist, The Applicant Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Work Well With The Rest Of The Dental Team.

  • Availability For Flexible Scheduling: Per-Diem Positions Often Have Varying Shifts And Schedules, So The Applicant Must Be Available To Work On An As-Needed Basis. This May Include Evenings And Weekends.
