As a per diem Patient Care Associate, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where no two days are the same.   1. Provide compassionate and exceptional care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  3. Monitor and record patient vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control protocols.
  6. Assist with patient transportation and transfers as needed.
  7. Carry out delegated tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the nursing staff.
  8. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Document patient care and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  12. Attend required training and professional development programs to maintain and improve skills.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Associate At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates For This Position Should Hold A Valid Cna Certification, Which Includes Training In Basic Patient Care, Infection Control, And Vital Signs Monitoring.

  • Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Preferred For This Position.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Associates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours: This Is A Per Diem Position, Meaning The Employee Will Work On An As-Needed Basis. Candidates Should Have The Availability To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Weekends And Holidays.
