We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team on a per diem basis in our 3 West department. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals.   1. Provide exceptional patient care services to our patients in the 3 West department.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  3. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  4. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
  5. Maintain accurate and updated patient records, including vital signs, medications, and treatments.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as infection control protocols, to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Assist with the transport of patients to various areas of the hospital as needed.
  9. Remain knowledgeable about patient care practices and participate in ongoing training and education programs.
  10. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
  11. Uphold the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional care to our community.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Care Associate (Pca) Position At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Basic Level Of Education And Ability To Understand And Follow Instructions.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Valid Cna Certification Is Often Required For A Pca Position At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A State-Approved Training Program And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Highly Desirable For A Pca Position. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Patient Care Procedures, And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pca, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. This Includes The Ability To Listen Actively, Follow Directions, And Communicate Effectively With People From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Physical Stamina And Flexibility: Pca Positions At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital May Require Long Hours Of Standing, Walking, And Assisting Patients With Activities Of Daily Living. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Physical Stamina And Flexibility To Perform These Tasks Efficiently And Without Difficulty. This May Also Include The Ability To Lift And Move Patients With Proper Techniques.
