Job Description

Welcome to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Associate to join our Pediatrics department for our 24-hour evening shift. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to our young patients and ensuring their comfort and well-being during their hospital stay. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others and possess the necessary qualifications to excel in this role.   1. Provide compassionate and personalized care to pediatric patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  2. Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge process of patients.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient information.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  5. Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
  7. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Respond promptly and appropriately to patient needs and emergencies.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their rights and dignity.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues and patients.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon patient care practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Basic Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Current Cpr Certification.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Pediatrics.

  • Ability To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
