  1. Provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate and professional manner.
  2. Attend and participate in the Patient Care Assistant Training and Employment Program.
  3. Learn and understand the policies, procedures, and standards of care at Brigham PCA Academy and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
  4. Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  5. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate medical staff.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Training Program: Candidates Must Have Successfully Completed A State-Approved Cna Training Program To Be Considered For The Patient Care Assistant Training And Employment Program At Brigham Pca Academy. This Ensures That Candidates Have The Necessary Foundational Knowledge And Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As Patient Care Assistants Work Closely With Patients, It Is Important For Them To Be Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations. Therefore, Candidates Must Have A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or American Red Cross.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For Enrollment In The Patient Care Assistant Training And Employment Program At Brigham Pca Academy. This Demonstrates That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Are Committed To Their Professional Development.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening: As Patient Care Assistants Have Access To Sensitive Patient Information And Are Responsible For Administering Medication, Candidates Must Be Able To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening. This Ensures The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
