  1. Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare staff to facilitate effective communication and resolve any concerns or issues.
  2. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  3. Conduct regular rounds on patient units to proactively address any patient or family needs.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as social work and patient experience, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  5. Ensure that patient and family concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner, following hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Educate patients and families on hospital services, policies, and resources available to them.
  7. Document and track patient and family concerns, complaints, and compliments, and provide reports as needed.
  8. Advocate for patients and their families to ensure their needs and preferences are met.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and overall experience.
  10. Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to patient and family experience.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices regarding patient and family relations.
  12. Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and maintain a culture of patient-centered care.
  13. Provide training and support to healthcare staff on effective communication and patient advocacy.
  14. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  15. Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards patients, families, and staff at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient And Family Relations Or Patient Advocacy.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Providers.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Hipaa, To Ensure Patient Confidentiality And Privacy.

  • Empathy And Compassion For Patients And Their Families, With The Ability To Provide Emotional Support And Resources During Difficult Situations.
