
Patient Access Representative I, Per Diem

As a Patient Access Representative I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a positive experience from the moment they enter our hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting demographic and financial information. - Greet and welcome patients and their families upon arrival at the hospital.
- Register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information.
- Ensure accuracy of patient information and update as needed.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Explain hospital policies and procedures to patients and answer any questions or concerns.
- Collect and process payments from patients for services rendered.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of patient interactions and transactions.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures, as well as insurance regulations and changes.
- Attend trainings and meetings to improve skills and knowledge related to job duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Display a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient Access Or Registration Role.
Strong Customer Service And Communication Skills.
Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Processes.
