We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Access Representative I on a per diem basis. As a Patient Access Representative I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a positive experience from the moment they enter our hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting demographic and financial information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.   1. Greet and welcome patients and their families upon arrival at the hospital.
  2. Register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information.
  3. Ensure accuracy of patient information and update as needed.
  4. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  5. Explain hospital policies and procedures to patients and answer any questions or concerns.
  6. Collect and process payments from patients for services rendered.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
  10. Keep detailed and accurate records of patient interactions and transactions.
  11. Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Stay up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures, as well as insurance regulations and changes.
  13. Attend trainings and meetings to improve skills and knowledge related to job duties.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  15. Follow safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  16. Display a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  17. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  18. Uphold the hospital's mission and values at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
