In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating and scheduling appointments for our patients, ensuring they receive timely and quality care.   1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients using the hospital's scheduling system.
  3. Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and complete scheduling of appointments.
  4. Assist patients in understanding their appointments and provide any necessary instructions or information.
  5. Collaborate with various departments within the hospital to ensure timely and efficient scheduling of appointments.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  7. Handle incoming calls and inquiries from patients and provide excellent customer service.
  8. Update and maintain patient information in the scheduling system.
  9. Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for appointments when necessary.
  10. Assist in resolving any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
  11. Monitor and maintain the appointment schedule to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
  12. Provide support to other team members as needed.
  13. Uphold the hospital's mission and values in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
  14. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on scheduling procedures and protocols.
  15. Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Scheduling Or Registration
