
Patient Access I - Central Scheduling Unit

- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in a friendly and professional manner.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients using the hospital's scheduling system.
- Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and complete scheduling of appointments.
- Assist patients in understanding their appointments and provide any necessary instructions or information.
- Collaborate with various departments within the hospital to ensure timely and efficient scheduling of appointments.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries from patients and provide excellent customer service.
- Update and maintain patient information in the scheduling system.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for appointments when necessary.
- Assist in resolving any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Monitor and maintain the appointment schedule to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
- Provide support to other team members as needed.
- Uphold the hospital's mission and values in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on scheduling procedures and protocols.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Scheduling Or Registration
Proficient Computer Skills, Including Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records And Scheduling Systems
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
