- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in the inpatient oncology unit.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, and intervene as needed to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate and support patients and their families about cancer treatment, side effects, and self-care measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and quality care.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Act as an advocate for patients' needs and rights.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote infection control and patient safety.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other hospital initiatives.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Massachusetts.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Inpatient Oncology Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Administering Chemotherapy And Managing Oncology-Related Side Effects.
