- Develop and implement education programs and initiatives for nursing staff to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and create educational materials and resources.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate nursing staff on best practices, new procedures, and updates in healthcare policies and protocols.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach nursing staff in their professional development, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure consistency in training and education across departments.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in healthcare and incorporate new information into training materials.
- Serve as a role model for nursing staff by demonstrating and promoting ethical and professional behavior.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for nursing staff.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and management, communicating any concerns or needs for additional education or resources.
Minimum Of Master's Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Educator At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Must Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited University. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Educate And Train Future Nurses.
Active Rn License In The State Of New Hampshire: Candidates For The Nurse Educator Position Must Hold An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of New Hampshire. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified To Practice Nursing And Stay Current With The State's Regulations And Standards.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience: In Addition To A Master's Degree, Candidates Must Also Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Allows The Nurse Educator To Bring Real-World Examples And Expertise To Their Teaching, Enhancing The Learning Experience For Students.
Teaching Experience: A Strong Candidate For The Nurse Educator Position Will Have Previous Teaching Experience, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Educate Students In A Classroom Or Clinical Setting.
Certification As A Nurse Educator: While Not Required, Certification As A Nurse Educator (Cne) Is Highly Preferred For This Position. This Certification Shows A Commitment To Excellence In Nursing Education And A Comprehensive Understanding Of Teaching Principles And Methodologies.
