- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and tests accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring proper dosage and radiation safety measures are followed.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras, scanners, and computers, to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients based on nuclear medicine results.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety, and provide necessary support and care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures and patient information, adhering to HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nuclear medicine technology and procedures.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and assist with maintaining accreditation standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Train and supervise nuclear medicine students and other staff members as needed.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
- Act as a positive representative of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, promoting our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions, as required.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with coworkers and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or A Related Field.
Certification By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting As A Nuclear Med Tech.
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety And Protocols For Handling And Administering Radioactive Materials.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
