In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to help diagnose and treat our patients. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, ASCP certification, and experience in a clinical laboratory setting.   1. Conduct hematology laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, troubleshoot issues as needed.
  3. Prepare and analyze samples, interpret and report results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  4. Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of laboratory results.
  5. Maintain laboratory records and data, complete required documentation and reports.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  7. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  8. Keep up-to-date with advancements in the field of hematology and laboratory science.
  9. Train and mentor new laboratory staff and students.
  10. Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, providing excellent customer service.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  12. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  13. Work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive and respectful work culture.
  14. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and best practices.
  16. Follow ethical and legal standards in all aspects of work.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory, With A Focus On Hematology

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Automated And Manual Testing Methods

  • Ability To Work Independently And Efficiently In A Fast-Paced, High-Volume Laboratory Environment, Including Night Shift Hours.
