  1. Provide exceptional care to patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures.
  2. Assist plastic surgeons during procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  3. Prepare patients for surgery and educate them on post-operative care instructions.
  4. Administer medications and assist with wound care as directed by the plastic surgeon.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including pre-operative and post-operative documentation.
  6. Monitor and assess patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the plastic surgeon.
  7. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are properly sterilized and functioning.
  8. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
  10. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  11. Continuously educate and update oneself on the latest developments and techniques in plastic surgery.
  12. Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  15. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Graduation From An Accredited Medical Assistant Program.

  • A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Medical Assistant In A Plastic Surgery Setting.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) Through The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).

  • Knowledge Of Plastic Surgery Procedures, Terminology, And Equipment.
