  1. Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care and maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  3. Perform administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, maintaining medical records, and processing insurance forms.
  4. Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas, including sanitization and stocking of supplies.
  5. Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
  6. Administer medications and assist with procedures under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
  7. Educate patients on self-care techniques and provide them with necessary resources and information.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development within the healthcare field.
  11. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient advocacy and ethical standards.
  12. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  13. Act as a positive ambassador for Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, promoting its mission and values to patients, families, and the community.
  14. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  15. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements and utilize new technologies and techniques to enhance patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Ged: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma): Candidates Must Possess A Current Cma Certification From An Accredited Institution.

  • Prior Medical Assistant Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Healthcare Setting Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr): The Ability To Navigate And Use Emr Systems Is Essential For This Position.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
