Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Tech to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, helping to save lives and provide peace of mind to our patients.   1. Perform mammography exams using advanced equipment and techniques in a safe and accurate manner.
  2. Prepare and position patients for mammograms, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  3. Operate and maintain mammography equipment, performing routine quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality.
  4. Monitor and document patient reactions and vital signs during and after exams, and report any abnormalities or concerns to medical staff.
  5. Educate patients on mammography procedures, including the benefits and potential risks, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during what may be a stressful or emotional experience.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including exam results and any relevant medical history.
  8. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of mammography images.
  9. Follow all hospital and industry safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure and ensure a safe working environment.
  10. Stay current on advancements and changes in mammography technology and techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  11. Help to maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
  12. Foster a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and other hospital staff.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to uphold patient confidentiality and ensure ethical and legal standards are met.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient care and services.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values, and always strive to provide exceptional care to our patients and community.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Bls (Basic Life Support) Certification.

  • Graduation From An Accredited Radiologic Technology Program And Current Arrt (American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists) Certification In Mammography.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Mammography Technologist, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of And Ability To Operate Mammography Equipment, Including Digital Systems.

  • Strong Communication And Patient Care Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
