As the coordinator for our busy labor and delivery unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department and the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care to mothers and newborns.
  2. Collaborate with the nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  3. Develop and implement policies and protocols to maintain high standards of care and safety for patients and staff.
  4. Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure adequate coverage and maintain productivity.
  5. Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  6. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to ensure they are competent and capable of providing exceptional care to patients.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the labor and delivery unit and other departments within the hospital, as well as external agencies and organizations.
  8. Act as a resource for staff, patients, and families, providing support and guidance as needed.
  9. Manage patient flow and bed assignments to optimize efficiency and maintain patient satisfaction.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives to improve the delivery of care and enhance patient outcomes.
  11. Facilitate communication and collaboration among all members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
  12. Stay updated on current trends, best practices, and advancements in labor and delivery care to continuously improve the unit's operations and patient care.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough records, reports, and documentation related to the labor and delivery unit.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  15. Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism within the department, promoting teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Coordinator Role In A Labor And Delivery Unit.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Labor And Delivery Processes, Including Medical Terminology, Equipment, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Organizational And Multitasking Abilities To Manage The Unit's Daily Operations, Including Scheduling, Budgeting, And Maintaining Supplies And Equipment.
