  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
  2. Monitor and assess the progress of labor, provide pain management and comfort measures, and assist with delivery as needed.
  3. Educate and support expectant mothers and families about the labor and delivery process, including potential complications and postpartum care.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, following infection control and safety protocols.
  8. Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including potential complications during labor and delivery.
  9. Stay current on best practices and evidence-based guidelines related to labor and delivery nursing.
  10. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to labor and delivery care.
  13. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, continuing education opportunities, and training programs.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
  15. Display a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of New Hampshire.

  • Bls And Nrp Certifications.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery Nursing.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills To Effectively Collaborate With The Interdisciplinary Team And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
