Job Description

  1. Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse is to provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients during the labor and delivery process.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team: The Staff Nurse must work collaboratively with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Monitor patient progress: The Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse will be responsible for monitoring the progress of labor, as well as the well-being of both the mother and baby.
  4. Administer medication and treatments: As a highly skilled nurse, the Staff Nurse will be responsible for administering medication and treatments as ordered by physicians or midwives.
  5. Educate patients and families: The Staff Nurse will be responsible for educating patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, as well as providing postpartum and newborn care instructions.
  6. Maintain accurate records: The Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse must maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including labor progress, medication administration, and any complications.
  7. Anticipate and respond to emergencies: In the event of an emergency, the Staff Nurse must be able to quickly and effectively respond and provide appropriate care.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures: The Staff Nurse is responsible for following all hospital policies and procedures, as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  9. Continuously improve skills and knowledge: The Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse should actively seek opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge in the field of labor and delivery.
  10. Promote a positive and supportive work environment: The Staff Nurse must maintain a positive and supportive work environment, fostering collaboration and teamwork among colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of New Hampshire.

  • Bachelor's Or Associate's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery Nursing.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
